Last night I had a dream that I was lost on a highway with three children in my car. It was terrifying to feel to helpless with three little ones depending on me. My GPS, which I rely on
heavily was not working. Getting lost is a real emotional trigger for me–I never fully felt comfortable driving until I had a GPS to count on.
This morning on my walk I was stopped a couple of times by a lost delivery person seeking assistance for different addresses. He could not speak English and was extremely grateful for my help.
It really is a beautiful gift to be able to help another human being in a small, effortless way. Being lost is a such a huge anxiety trigger for me, and it felt so healing to be able to assist another.
Our culture is all about name recognition, movers and shakers and people that are defined as successful. In other words, people know they make a difference. But truly, it is the small acts of kindness that uplift us all.
Especially if we are feeling lost and directionless, helping another in any way, gives us an energy buzz. This wonderful feeling is telling us we are serving our purpose.
Wishing you a Light filled path,
Julie
