Intuition and Natural Healing

This morning I had the honor of teaching a workshop on healing and intuition at a Zehut Women’s brunch in San Francisco.

Lara, Miryum and Me

Lara, Miryum and Me

In the Hebrew calendar we are currently in the month of Iyar which is commonly referred to as the month of natural healing. My workshop fits so well with the month of Iyar as natural healing and tapping into your intuition work together  in a beautiful harmony.

At the event I taught the group grounding exercises we can all use for greater calm and clarity. We also went over the different ways to tap into our natural intuitive abilities. My favorite part was giving intuitive readings in the third part of the class. Every group is brought together for a reason so the information that came through for one person is beneficial to us all.

Many, many thanks to my dear friend and beloved Rebbetzin Miryum for coordinating this event. A special thanks to the beautiful and light filled Lara for opening your home and being such a generous person and hostess. Thanks to the whole group for showing up and being so open and present. It was greatly appreciated.

I will be teaching my next Intuitive Workshop in the Pleasant Hill area in May or June. Let me know if you would like to be added to the list of those interested.

Wishing everyone a month full of healing insights and natural healing,

Julie

Fear, Anxiety, Faith and Freedom

How many of your actions, behaviors and thought patterns are born out of fear? Likely more than you realize.IMG_3928

While there are many parts of our lives where we feel abundant we often feel scarcity in others. Feelings of scarcity are related to fear, anxiety and lack of faith. Abundance feels like the universe is taking care of us and all will be well.

It is interesting to look at the parts of our lives that cause anxiety and the areas of faith and abundance.

You may feel that you will never have to worry about money but are concerned about your health. Perhaps you feel tremendous confidence about your life’s purpose but are extremely anxious about being late. Or you feel secure about having friendships of equanimity but panic when you are running low on groceries.

You most likely take for granted all the ways you feel you will be provided for. Yet scarcity is an underlying motivator for many of our feelings and fears.

Feelings of scarcity show up when there is an issue in our lives that is asking to be healed. It may seem small to you but there is always a larger pattern involved.

Take a moment to think about the areas in your life that trigger anxiety. If you are ready to acknowledge areas of fear and anxiety you are ready to begin the healing process.

The more faith you feel the more freedom you will experience. We are all here to grow. As we grow, as we experience more faith, the more light and healing we bring into the world.

Do you need support around feelings of fear and scarcity? Do you wish to learn how to bring more abundance into your life? Contact me to schedule a session. I look forward to hearing from you!

Let’s Manifest: Magnetizing Images

Creating the life you want should be fun and effortless.  If it feels like you are pushing to make things work, likely you are trying too hard.

Best to loosen your grip and have some fun! Manifesting is a powerful tool, always at your disposal, to bring you closer to the life you want to live. Manifesting works best when done with faith, fun and lightness. In other words, don’t be hard on yourself and don’t be attached to the outcome.

Creating images in your mind is a simple way to manifest that is also a lot of fun. For some of us, tapping into an image instead of words can be a lot less loaded. Likely because negative self-talk has no chance of taking over.

Here is how:

  • Think of something you want.
  • Think of a positive image that relates to your goal.
  • Think of this image whenever you need a boost.

Here are a few examples:

  • If you are looking to lose weight: picture the scale with your goal number.
  • If you are looking to be more financially abundant: envision yourself surrounded by money. You can also see you and your loved ones under a money tree.
  • To connect more deeply with a loved one: see yourself and loved one surrounded in pink or green (both related to heart chakra).
  • If you have a deadline you would like to reach: picture the date surrounded by light.

You may borrow and image from someone else or use your own. It really doesn’t matter as long as it is associated with your goal.

The Angels are telling me again to relay to you: stop being so hard on yourself. :)

In Light, Lightness and Fun!-Julie

Help Another Today

Last night I had a dream that I was lost on a highway with three children in my car. It was terrifying to feel to helpless with three little ones depending on me. My GPS, which I rely on heavily was not working. Getting lost is a real emotional trigger for me–I never fully felt comfortable driving until I had a GPS to count on.

This morning on my walk I was stopped a couple of times by a lost delivery person seeking assistance for different addresses. He could not speak English and was extremely grateful for my help.

It really is a beautiful gift to be able to help another human being in a small, effortless way. Being lost is a such a huge anxiety trigger for me, and it felt so healing to be able to assist another.

Our culture is all about name recognition, movers and shakers and people that are defined as successful. In other words, people know they make a difference. But truly, it is the small acts of kindness that uplift us all.

Especially if we are feeling lost and directionless, helping another in any way, gives us an energy buzz. This wonderful feeling is telling us we are serving our purpose.

Wishing you a Light filled path,
Julie

The Ups and Downs of Positive Thinking

Positive thinking assists me in my everyday life in addition to reaching my goals beyond my wildest dreams. A deep feeling of faith and gratitude has the power to be deeply healing and transformative-for you and the world around you. I write a lot about it in this blog, usually in terms of manifesting, and I stand by my beliefs.

There is another side to positive thinking though. When it isn’t working it has the potential to create blame and self-punishment. It also may be an escape hatch to sitting with our emotions.

In order to manifest successfully, your thoughts need to match your feelings. For example: you can think over and over that you will find a job. But if you don’t feel confident, it will be harder to reach your goal. So instead of trying to control your thoughts (which sometimes does have a place)-pay attention to how you are feeling.

  • Are you feeling especially anxious, sad, or hopeless? It may be time to see a therapist or doctor as there are times no amount of positive thinking will help. It could be chemical, hormonal, or any number of physical issues. The point is: see a professional instead of blaming yourself.
  • You may think your thoughts and feelings are matching but you may have something going on in your energetic field creating blocks. Taking care of yourself through a daily practice of grounding and aura cleansing will help with this (attention empaths this is essential for you!).
  • There are times in our lives where we have to sit with our emotions. It isn’t pleasant so we look for a way out. This is a way positive thinking could be non-productive. If we try and distract ourselves we won’t learn the unique lessons of suffering.

I do want to reiterate my strong belief in the power of positive thinking. It just always isn’t appropriate and when it doesn’t work it has such potential for self-blame. This is of specific importance to me because what I have been seeing in my phone readings lately.

Be gentle yourself. Accept where you are at now and try to have faith in the future. If you are looking for assistance in your path contact me to schedule a reading.

Sending many, many blessings of self-love to all!-Julie

Expansion Through Discomfort

In order to grow, we must expand and that often means leaving our comfort zones.

So much of what you think is working for you is not–or won’t be much longer. You are a dynamic being living in a constantly changing world. As creatures of habit, we often don’t want to accept these changes. We mostly want to be comfortable.

We find something that works for us and decide we found our answer. We don’t want to look anymore-just wanting this area of life to be settled. We can become very set in our ways and it can easily become prescriptive: “I found what works for me and it would work for others.” But in reaching that point you close yourself off –as growth comes from staying open.

As we get older we get to know ourselves better and start thinking we are “figuring it out”.  But living life is not linear.  The more you think you know the fewer the opportunities will show up.

So how do you stay open? I suggest starting in small ways.

  • Do you have an exercise routine that is working for you? Start looking at changing it.
  • Make yourself listen to someone you don’t agree with.
  • Verbally affirm you are open and ready for new experiences.

You will be healthier in the long run and your life will be so much richer if you stay neutral– remembering the root of openness is acceptance.

Here’s to our gentle, sometimes uncomfortable continuing expansion…we are still here!-Julie

Find Your Hidden Beliefs

We are aware of some beliefs that hold us back. For example: “When I meet my soulmate I will be happier” or “I won’t feel settled until I buy a house”. While these beliefs limit us-it the beliefs that we are not consciously aware of that hold us back the most.

For me, the juiciest part of getting readings and giving readings is finding hidden beliefs. When you discover what they are something clicks and it opens you up to understanding many of your patterns, behaviors and relationships. Here are a few examples of hidden beliefs:

  • Everything will fall apart if I take care of myself.
  • I don’t have the energy to support my growing business.
  • People won’t like the real me.
  • I can’t handle a relationship.
  • I don’t feel secure enough to take a risk.

I find these ways of thinking are most often tied to self-preservation on some level. Sometimes they can arise from an old childhood pattern or life trauma. There is usually a past life connection. No matter how it developed please know it is happening for a reason. You chose to have the challenge before you entered the world and you can also heal it. So how do you find these hidden beliefs?

  • Verbally ask for the answers to come through in a dream before you go to sleep.
  • Talk to a trusted friend. They likely see something in you that you don’t.
  • Try hypnotherapy, Reiki or a shamanic journey.
  • Get a reading from me or someone else that you are drawn to work with.

Once you discover the belief it usually heals quickly. When you set the intention to find the hidden beliefs that hold you back you are also setting the intention to move forward.

I specialize in discovering hidden beliefs and will only relay information to you that you are open and ready to hear. I work through phone and emailContact me to get started.

Learn Your Intuitive Style

Everybody is intuitive and most people are proud of it. They may say “I knew it!” or “I went with my gut instinct” or “I just felt it was the right thing to do.”  In fact, when someone announces a personal victory or success it usually relates to them going with their instincts. Of course, few people openly admit to being intuitive or psychic-but it’s all the same. We are simply not living in a time where it is accepted, but I do believe in our lifetimes it will be. I’m already seeing the changes and I’m sure you are too. The more people embrace and own their intuitive abilities the better! I understand there can be shame attached to embracing your true nature, but trust me you will feel so liberated when you do. Your world will open up, more healing synchronicities will occur and you will learn to have more faith and trust in the world. The people that don’t accept it aren’t worth your friendship. So let us embrace!

We all have different intuitive styles and I love working with people to help identify the style that best serves them. We tend to work with a few different ways in getting psychic information though usually one is most dominant.

First quickly scan just the bold and skip the descriptions.  Does any one style speak to you? Then go back and read the characterizations of each:

  • Empath: An empath picks up information through feeling. Most people start off as empaths. Empaths need to be aware of absorbing emotions and be especially mindful of energetic boundaries.
  • Seeing: Some of us get information by seeing it in the mind’s eye. This most likely occur through images that are translated. Example: you “see” a roller coaster next to someone and realize life is up and down for that person. Some people see actual language. You can practice improving this skill by imagining opening a book and looking for a word.
  • Hearing: I “hear” information when I channel. I am not physically hearing the words–it’s more like I hear information in my mind as thoughts. It can be challenging at first to distinguish your thoughts and intuitive information. There are ways to practice this on your own or I can assist you in this through a phone or email reading.
  • Mental Intuitive: I started out as an empath and would now define myself as a mental intuitive. Through years of experience and practice I have developed a deep trust and faith in working in the Highest Light. Information comes through easily and simply for me now–just by knowing it.
  • Smelling: I have only met one person over the years that got all of his psychic information through smelling. Every once in a while I get intuitive snippets this way. For example–I smell alcohol and know there is an issue with drinking. For me and others with this ability-the smell is literal-like it is happening in the actual world-unlike other senses that are more virtual.
  • Energetically: I was attuned to Reiki over a decade ago and almost immediately started getting psychic information during sessions. If you are not attuned-go for it! It is a beautiful and healing way to take in information. Only convey information to your client if they verbally agree before they are open.
  • Tarot Cards: There are many, many mediums to tap into psychically. I can only speak to the methods I have had experience with. I began my interest in tarot in my early teen years and began reading them seriously in my 20′s. First I learned and studied the meaning of every card with strong intention. Once I got comfortable I didn’t need to look up the meaning of every card. I still use them from time to time.

I love coaching intuitively through phone and email readings. My greatest joy is helping people read for themselves or others. You can call/text 415-562-4851 or email juliehansenintuitive@yahoo.com to schedule an appointment.

One final thought: you are intuitive. You know you are! Just trust the information that comes through.

In faith and trust,

Julie

Slow Down

On a recent hike I came across a huge green slug on the trail. It looked like a pickle taking it’s time moving across the path. I have a special place in my heart for animal teachers-and it  was perfect learning for me in that moment.

It feels good to get things done. To check items off a list. Even those of us with spiritual ambitions get a sense of accomplishment: from clearing out an old issue or moving to a new realm energetically. This feeling is false and fleeting.

To be truly at peace, one must learn to savor the moment. To gently be with their circumstances without judgement. To breathe. It sounds boring and honestly it can be quite boring. It is in these times we are prone to check email or busy ourselves in some way. When we just sit with ourselves in the moment there is no story to tell–and we are all masterful storytellers on the hunt for new material.

Think back to a time you were happy. More than likely you were enjoying life in that moment-not thinking about the past or the future.

When you set the intention to live in the moment–make sure you withhold judgement on yourself and others. Every experience is an opportunity to learn.

I was speed walking on that morning I saw the slug-thinking of all the things I had to do. The slug reminded me to slow down, and on the way home I did.

Slowly exhaling,

Julie

Let’s Manifest: Create Your Day

A simple step towards healthier living is creating vibrant thoughts and positive mental images. Successful manifesting comes from seeing results. Take small steps to build your confidence in manifesting. This confidence is essentially faith and trust in the process.

Start by creating your day. In the morning think about how you would like your day to go. Review your trigger points. For example: are you anxious about getting to work on time? Visualize yourself calmly and easily getting to work. Think of an affirmation: I will get to work easily. Try manifesting for every aspect of your day. It will keep you mindful and present in the moment. When you are getting dressed affirm you will look and feel great. As you eat-focus on your food and remind yourself that the food is nourishing you.

I also suggest larger affirmations for the day:

  • My happiness comes from the inside.
  • My life is easy and full of fun.
  • The little things make me happy.
  • I am full of energy.
  • I am magnetized to beautiful experiences.

You are getting assistance so remember to practice gratitude along the way.

Let’s have a beautiful day!-Julie
